I loved capturing this intimate at-home session for Baby Robert’s birth announcement. After a year like 2020, being able to reconnect with clients and their growing families, seeing births and families come together gave me such a heart warming feeling. I also was so, so happy to being taking photos again, to get back to memory keeping & making art for my clients.
The M family have a lovely home in the city and on this warm fall day, I ended up arriving earlier than scheduled. When arrived I was greeted by Baby Robert’s lovely grandmother who I loved chatting with. We talked about family, and travel and education. It was the most fun I’ve had being too early for a session ever.
When the session started I couldn’t believe how beautiful Robert is. His blue eyes, a dashing shade of blue, his gaze so precious and young, and yet profound. His parents could not help but get lost in his adorable face throughout the session, and their bond and love for each other was so palpable. They are such a beautiful family. Robert’s nursery was full of gifts from friends and family that were meaningful and thoughtful. My favorite kind of baby gifts!
At home sessions with a newborn are quiet, intimate, sweet & memorable. I highly recommend them to all parents-to-be. These are days we don’t get back. Capturing these special times is something we never regret.
[…] October 2021I’ve had the pleasure of working with the M family since 2019. I can never say it enough, I have some of the kindest and sweetest families as clients. It always brings me so much joy when I get to see them year after year, in different seasons of their lives and mine, to photograph them and catch up. This session took place on a pleasantly warm yet slightly cloudy day in the fall of 2021 at The Conservatory Garden in Central Park, in New York City.
