When I met Esther & Jairo for the first time it was over facetime for their wedding consult. We were in the middle of a pandemic and I didn’t think I was ever going to get to photograph another wedding again. Then here comes this very very sweet, very much in love couple who found me on Instagram and were looking for a wedding photographer. We hit it off right away. I immediately liked how laid back & thoughtful they were.
For their engagement session we met up in DUMBO on a chilly Fall day. Esther loves Autumn and wanted to have a fall engagement session to match her upcoming fall wedding. If you want to read a little bit about that day and see their fall Brooklyn engagement session you can see it here.
E and J’s wedding was suppose to take place on September 25th 2021 but was moved to August 20th this year because sadly, their venue was closing as a result of the ongoing pandemic.
Even though they experienced this set back Esther & Jairo celebrated a beautiful fall inspired wedding in Brooklyn that had no shortage of great moments, great music and lots of dancing!
We also got to return to the location of their engagement session, Jane’s Carousel, for their portraits.
Favorite Things
Esther & Jairo had favor bags imported from their native Ecuador. It was such a sweet homage to a place that’s very special to them. Another sweet homage was when Jairo surprised Esther with a live mariachi band during the reception.
Lupin! Esther & Jairo dressed their adorable new puppy for the nuptials and he was basically another groomsmen in their wedding.
Esther looked stunning on her wedding day. She was the epitome of timeless beauty & grace.
Sweet Moments
Esther’s dad sang her song at the reception and they shared a father daughter first look.
