Lucy & Matt are two very special people to my hart. I met them through a previous bride (the beautiful Valerie) as her and Lucy were coworkers. Lucy saw Valerie’s wedding photos and loved them, when we had our first inquiry we immediately hit it off and I was THRILLED when her and Matt booked, because I already instantly loved them upon meeting them.
Their engagement was so fun, we ran through NYC on a rainy day stopping at iconic spots for some truly romantic photos. You can see more from that gallery here, or the blog post from that session here.
For their wedding they chose Lucy’s old stomping grounds of Westport Connecticut. Their wedding day was a beautiful summer day in July. The weather was perfect for a wedding, and surprisingly less hot than you’d expect in July.
Her brides maids regularly tearing up at the sight of beautiful Lucy in her gorgeous sweetheart + princess style gown- was so fun to capture on camera. They were over the moon for her and that’s something you always enjoy as a photographer. Matt looked classic and handsome in his fabulous tuxedo, which brought some seriousness to the rambunctious and playful groomsmen, who brought no shortage of laughter and movement to their photos.
Lucy & Matt said their I’do’s by the water, with enthusiastic speed boats sharing their love for the couple from the river. Under a canopy of luscious eucalyptus and white roses, they kissed and became Mr. & Mrs!
The rest of the day was full of epic dance moves, touching speeches, and lots of cheer.
These two know how to throw a wedding that is unforgettable and beautiful. Cheers to the lovely couple, who I quite frankly, adore.
