  I am the owner and head photographer of Writer & Beloved Photography. 
I'm a Brooklyn based photographer focused on capturing classic and beautiful weddings
Sweet & memorable family portraits
& lifestyle photography. 

I began Writer & Beloved Photography in the beginning of 2017 with the encouragement of my best friend and husband, Daniel. I had always been an avid photo taker, inspired by my travels and daily adventures and in 2017 I got inspired to turn my passion into a business.
I was the mother of two little one's then. 
This past February we welcomed our third child, a daughter! 

I have been so blessed at every point in this journey in that I have the most magical support behind me, in my family.  They are a source of inspiration and a motivation to me to build a brand and a business that shows and shares love through the art form of photography.

 I named the business "Writer & Beloved Photography"
because "Writer" is a nickname I am called by a dear friend.  I've have long loved to write poetry.  The name Writer & Beloved is about the relationship between the poet and his/her subject of affection.  

Since opening up Writer & Beloved Photography I have been able to meet wonderful families & couples who have chosen me and trusted me to be there for them on their special day. 

I gather mementos for them  and embrace all the sweet and authentic moments my client's don't want to slip away. My approach to photography is artistic. simplicity. I love capturing and creating art and the distinctive stories behind each shot. 

I spend my days homeschooling, breastfeeding, coffee drinking and photo editing.  I adore plants and books and the rain.   I get inspired by architecture, history, poetry and music.  I am grounded by my faith and I thank God for first, saving me from my self & my sins, and then loving me in a way no one else could. He is the "Beloved" in my story.

I approach photography with an artistic perspective. 
I am inspired by architecture, music and art. 
 I want to capture photos that tell the story authentically. 
The story, the people in the images, the moments- they all matter.

mY lOVE sTORY

& WHY I LOVE

I met my husband in 2009, soon I became to know him as a friend and brother in Christ. 
He was a funny guy with great wit and an intelligent sense of humor that immediately drew me to him.  One day I casually invited him out to see a lecture I wanted to attend that was being given by Elie Wiesel. He kindly informed me that he couldn't make it.  I had no idea that he actually had feelings for me then.  He'd later tell me how frustrated he had been that he had to miss our non-date, but at the same time, thrilled that I had opened that door by inviting him out.  So he in turn invited me out to go see The Screwtape Letters at an off Broadway show.  From the moment the evening started, I felt so nervous! I could no longer ignore how handsome,  intelligent and thoughtful he was.  Within minutes of meeting up with him I was already falling in love with him. 

We were married in 2013 and now live in Brooklyn with our three children, black lab and several canaries.
