I want to preserve and capture everything that matters to you. 
 I want you to remember the way you felt and what you saw. and cherish it for a lifetime with every image. I aim to capture light, film inspired images.

Gathering inspiration for my work begins with who I am photographing. My hope is to allow my clients to feel at ease with me in order for me to  draw out true emotions. I want to earn your trust as your photographer so that your images document truth along with beauty.

Beginnings.

I began Writer & Beloved Photography in 2017.  After a couple of years of not picking up my camera I realized that I had some how forgotten about my love for photography.  At that time, I was a stay at home mom of two and I decided to take my passion more seriously, and with the support of my husband Daniel, I opened Writer & Beloved Photography. 

The name of my business comes from my love of poetry.  The name is meant to represent the love between the poet (art maker) with his/her subject. Most of the poetry I write is about my love for God and how His love for me has changed me.  He is the "Beloved" in my story.

Most of what I do in photography is photographing people with the ones they love in an artistic and thoughtful way.  I find that beautiful. 

Life. 

I currently live in Brooklyn with my husband, our three children and our dog Hiram.  We love traveling together, we're silly, dorky and we're failing and succeeding at not eating animals (our recent discovery of Trader Joe's awesomeness is helping with the succeeding part). We (my husband and I) recently binged watched the latest season of The Walking Dead and it was amazing. I love film & literature and can talk about either one, for hours. I like my coffee black.

mY lOVE sTORY

& WHY I LOVE

romantic stories

I met my husband in 2009, soon I became to know him as a friend and brother in Christ. 
He was a funny guy with great wit and an intelligent sense of humor that immediately drew me to him.  One day I casually invited him out to see a lecture I wanted to attend that was being given by Elie Wiesel. He kindly informed me that he couldn't make it.  I had no idea that he actually had feelings for me then.  He'd later tell me how frustrated he had been that he had to miss our non-date, but at the same time, thrilled that I had opened that door by inviting him out.  So he in turn invited me out to go see The Screwtape Letters at an off Broadway show.  From the moment the evening started, I felt so nervous! I could no longer ignore how handsome,  intelligent and thoughtful he was.  Within minutes of meeting up with him I was already falling in love with him. 

We were married in 2013 and now live in Brooklyn with our three children, black lab and several canaries.
