I'm Kassandra a wedding & portrait photographer based in Central Pennsylvania and I'm the owner & head photographer of Writer & Beloved Photography. I love photographing weddings and supporting my clients as they dream and plan for their big day.
My desire is to photograph all of the details of the day in a refined way that stays true to you as a couple and all of the lovely decisions that went into your wedding. I treasure the chance to capture stunning images that couple's can cherish for a lifetime- family heirlooms that are passed down through generations.
I'm a big romantic. I married my best friend and the love of my life in 2013 and it was one of the best moments of my life. I always say I would relive that day again and again if I could. Whenever I get to see our wedding photos, I get to relive that day a little. Now that I have three children, they get a window into the past and into their mama & papa's love story, and this warms my heart.
I'm passionate about capturing stunning, meaningful images that resonate with the heart, and embrace the moment. My hope is to make genuine connections with you and your story and capture your big day beautifully!

What You Can Expect Once You Book
Once the contract is signed and a deposit is made we can schedule your romantic engagement session. It can be as low key or as epic as you want. We can discuss dates, locations and even outfit ideas. I have a complimentary outfit inspiration page I share with clients to help them pick their perfect outfits if they request it!
You will also receive The Writer & Beloved Photography Wedding Guide. The guide includes everything you need to prepare for your wedding, regarding photography. From ideal getting ready locations, detail checklists, wedding day timeline help and first look ideas- the guide covers it all!
Once you both have familiarized yourself with all of the wealth of fun & informative details in the guide, we can schedule a call or video call (or coffee/tea date) to discuss all of the sweet details you two have planned.
I make myself available for calls and facetimes throughout the experience, if you have questions, need advice or if you want to make updates to your plans.

Four to eight weeks after your wedding day you will receive your full digital wedding gallery with high resolution images! The gallery will be organized by scenes from your special day, for easy navigation & browsing. Once you've had the time to savor and relive all of the joyful moments, you two can pick your favorites for your heirloom wedding album.
I source hand crafted heirloom wedding albums that are some of the most refined wedding albums ever, and the perfect way to remember your wedding day.
You can order your custom album and even order a "parent's album" as a way to surprise your parents or grandparents with some special images from the wedding. Depending on the wedding collection you choose, you may already have an album credit toward your overall album investment.

The second photographers I work with are professional wedding photographers with similar style & aesthetic as my own. While having a second photographer can be very helpful toward capturing more on the wedding day, having one isn't always necessary. Every wedding & every couple is different.

engagement sessions
Why an engagement session? Some couples find themselves wondering about this question while other couples have been dreaming & planning for their engagement session since before they were engaged! Every couple is different and that's absolutely okay.
I gift an engagement session to all of my wedding couples because I consider it so valuable.
An engagement session allows a moment of reprieve from the busyness of wedding planning. The two of you can retreat to romantic Central Park, the top of the Empire State Building, or to a place you hold dear in your relationship. There we can capture some intimate moments of the two of you walking, holding hands & embracing. An engagement session will document these sweet exchanges while getting you comfortable in front of the camera. On the wedding day you two are already comfortable and able to seamlessly move through your wedding portraits, saving time so we can get you back to your celebration as soon as possible!
Many couples use their engagement photos for save the dates, announcement cards, and wedding decor. Its a special way to set the tone and aesthetic of your wedding day for your loved ones & guests.
So whether you want to go for an epic mountain top engagement, windswept seashore, or iconic city skyline, we can have the engagement session that is true to you two.

Are You Insured?
Yes. I am fully insured and can provide policy information if your venue requests it.
How Soon Should I Book You?
I book most of my couples 7-12 months in advanced.
Once my calendar dates for weddings, portraits sessions & travel is full, I no longer accept bookings for that calendar year.
When Can I Expect My Gallery?
You can expect your gallery within 6-10 weeks after your wedding date. *
Who is Your Ideal Client?
My ideal client is thoughtful, romantic & laid back. They have a love for the classic & the timeless. Photography is very important to them and they are excellent at communicating their hopes for their wedding to me.
