A Romantic Rainy NYC Engagement. Lucy and Matt’s engagement session took place on a beautiful rainy day in September. When Lucy and I discussed the engagement we ended up deciding on the classic NYC engagement.  That included stops at Central Park, The NYPL,  and the West Village. However, when we had spoken, rain was not part of the plan.  Surprisingly, the rain came with a magic that makes this day even more poignant in my mind, and I hope theres.  When I see these images, I distinctly remember the sounds of the stunning Bethesda fountain water falling coupled with the sound of rain all around us.  When I see the images of them at the NYPL, I remember the “pat, pat” sound the rain made as it hit the marble. The smell of rain was perpetual and sweet. The two looked absolutely perfect as they strolled arm in arm with their umbrella, taking in the sights and coyly celebrating this sweet time in their love story together.  At Central Park where we began our day, there was a soft fog over the park and we got quite a few iconic spots to ourselves.
